The Incredible Italian Painter Raphael


This is Raphael (Raffaello Sanzio) he was born in Urbino in 1483. One of his paintings he did was called the "Triumph of Galatea" he painted that in1512. Raphael  also helped with the Sistine Chapel. One of the pieces that Raphael made that everybody loved in the Renaissance was the Sistine Madonna. Raphael was a hard working man.When Raphael was 17 his father put him in a school called Perugino School. Raphael worked in a painting work shop for 4 years. Aterwards he still attended Perugino School. Raphael did alot of paintings and helped with alot of different events. Raphael also took a trip to Rome. Some of the paintings he did in Rome was the Madonna della Sedia that took from 1513 to 1514. Raphael died in 1520.

  1. Kevin Moody Raphael was an italian painter. His real name is Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino. His father's name was Giovanni Santi who was a (court)painter also for the. His mother Magia died in 1491 when Raphael was only eight.

  2. Another thing that surprised me is that he died only at the age of 37 , but he has made so many art pieces ,and architectual designs.

  3. Also Raphael was in the High Renaissance. Basically the High Renaissance in the history of art denotes the culmination of the art of the Italian Renaissance. The High Renaissance emerged in the late 1490,s , when Leonardo da Vinci executed his Last Supper in Milan. Note: The Last Supper is a piece of art by Leonardo da Vinci.
